WEI HAI WEI WEIHAI is a costal city at the very eastern end of Shandong Province. Below some Courier Post Post stamps for postal service between Wei Hai & Chefoo
(Yantai). These stamps where issued 1898 (red ones) and 1899. The red issues where signed at the backside by the postmaster G.K.Fergusson.

1896 TUNG KUNG
Tungkuan was an important local trading centre
located approximately 50 kilometres northeast of
Canton. Even though it was not a Treaty Port, because
of its importance, it well could have been considered
worthy of a local post service. Therefore, this could
have been an essay for such a projected service.
1890 SWATOW
Shantou Local Post was never
established but however they prepared
a postal stationary envelope and stamp
for postage use. It is beleived that only
2 such envelopes are existing.
